Lustau Vermut Red 0.75L
Lustau is otherwise known for brandy and sherry - and this unique Spanish Vermouth is based on the latter. Although the production of Vermouth based on sherry already has a respectable tradition in Jerez, only not in the house of Lustau. But after over 100 years of its own tradition in the production of Sherry and Brandy de Jerez, Lustau now also relies on unique vermouths in the future - we find an excellent decision. The Lustau Vermut Rojo, as the name in the original, is a blend of Amontadillo and Pedro Ximenez Sherry, i.e. from a very, very dry and a very, very sweet product. The blend is flavoured like the Blanco, with vermouth and gentian, but also with coriander and oranges. What comes out is a deep red vermouth, with pronounced but complex sweetness and stimulating bitter notes.
It smells pleasantly fresh of citrus fruits and orange peel, but also has notes of spices and herbs such as coriander, gentian, rose petals and cinnamon. These impressions can also be found in concentrated form on the palate, where the Lustau Vermut leaves a very round and pleasantly soft impression.
Ruby red with slightly brown reflections. It smells very seductively of citrus fruits, orange peel and spices, coriander, cinnamon, gentian and dried roses in the foreground. On the palate, this wormwood is velvety and very well balanced.
